Manchester United's dressing room issues continue to persist under Ralf Rangnick.
Cracks started to appear under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer when he showed unwavering loyalty to his misfiring first-team stars, instead of giving his fringe players a chance which was the least they deserved.
The Red Devils have an incredibly bloated squad this season, meaning the number of unhappy players have piled up, as a result, with recent reports suggesting there are as many as 16 individuals who are unsettled.
Rangnick has a wealth of experience at his disposal with exciting ideas that would typically reinvigorate a struggling squad.
But it's not quite worked out the way he has hoped.
There have been numerous reports of tension between Red Devils players and confusion with Rangnick's methods circulating since before New Year.

And it's claimed the group have divided into two distinct factions between those players who speak Portuguese and those who do not in the latest alarming update on the bleak situation at Old Trafford.
The Daily Mail also revealed that United stars had been laughing at Rangnick because he turned up to Carrington for training last Tuesday morning when he had given them a day off.
The mistake is thought to be the ‘talk of the training ground’, indicating Rangnick has not got the respect of the full squad.
Then, there is the Anthony Martial situation that unfolded over the weekend.
Eyebrows were raised when Martial was left out of the matchday squad during the 2-2 draw with Aston Villa, especially considering United were left short on the bench with eight substitutes.
Rangnick was asked about his absence after the game claiming the Frenchman refused to make himself available for the match.
He said in his post-match press conference: "Yes, he didn't want to be in the squad. He would have been in the squad normally but he didn't want to and that was the reason why he didn't travel with us yesterday."
But Martial hit back at the German later on Saturday night, insisting that those claims were far from the truth.
He said on Instagram: "I will never refuse to play a match for Man United.
"I've been here for 7 years and I never disrespected and never will disrespect the club and the fans."
Rangnick was advised to bring Martial back into the fold and encouraged to mend his relationship with the forward given the club's difficulty in selling him this month.
The interim boss then explained the contradiction between him and Martial as a misunderstanding on Tuesday in an effort to defuse the situation.
He said: "I'm here now for six weeks, all the things that need to be said I said at the press conference. I had a conversation with him on Sunday, how I saw the whole situation. He didn't train yesterday or day before. He will probably train today."
One of them was telling the truth and the other wasn't, something that might never reach the public domain, but reading between the lines, it's not difficult to decipher.
It's another example of there being too much player power at Old Trafford.
And to make matters worse, Rangnick's bosses have undermined him by intervening in the situation forcing him to backtrack on what he originally said, which only damages his reputation in the dressing room even further.
The problems are that deep-rooted, even someone of Rangnick's stature cannot fix them, at least not midway through the season anyway.
The summer is where real change can potentially begin to take place but unfortunately, the German has a fractured dressing room to contend with until then.
