Ralf Rangnick 'still waiting to hear' from new Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag

Manchester United interim manager Ralf Rangnick is yet to speak to incoming Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag.

The Reds last month appointed the 52-year-old in April after a thorough interview process which also included Mauricio Pochettino. But the man currently in interim charge is yet to have a dialogue with his successor.

Rangnick will move into a consultancy role from the beginning of July. It was also this week announced that the 63-year-old will take charge of the Austria national team concurrently with his role at Old Trafford.

"I'm pretty sure he's got my phone number," he told Sky Sports. "He's got another couple of games to play with Ajax, we have another three games to play here."

"Whenever he wants to speak with me and exchange our opinions, I'm more than happy to do that," the German tactician added. United host Brentford on Monday as they look to move to within three points of Tottenham in fifth.
