Ralf Rangnick has given Erik ten Hag advantage that other Man United managers 'never really had'

Former Manchester United defender Paul Parker has defended Ralf Rangnick's time at the helm, claiming his interim spell has made Erik ten Hag's job easier.

The German has been open and honest about his side's troubles since taking the reins last year. Rangnick has outlined where United need to improve if they are to become a force once more, even highlighting where their priorities should lie in the upcoming transfer window.

Out of his 22 Premier League matches in charge at Old Trafford, the 63-year-old has won 10, drawn seven and lost five. Despite his patchy record, Parker believes Rangnick has made Ten Hag's job easier by highlighting everything wrong with the club.

"He’s saying all of that and he’s respected for that," he told My Betting Sites." "For the incoming manager, I think he’s making his job easier as well by highlighting everything to him."

"I’m sure there’s more that’s been highlighted that hasn’t come out. He is painting a picture of what he’s walking into.

"Something that other managers have never really had before. They kinda got in there and had a fair idea because of their experiences of managing dressing rooms, managing players, or coaching players. I think in certain ways, he’s done a good job."
