Ralf Rangnick believes Cristiano Ronaldo will stay at Manchester United next season as speculation continues over his future.
Ronaldo was once again on target on Monday night as United beat Brentford 3-0 in their final home game of the season. The Portuguese ace scored from the spot to take his tally for the season up to 24 across all competitions.
With just two games remaining in the season, all eyes will be turning towards the summer soon as Erik ten Hag arrives as the club’s new manager and gets to work on building his squad for next season. It’s still not known though whether he will have Ronaldo to call upon.

While the 37-year-old still has a year left on his contract, having signed a two-year deal upon his return to Old Trafford last year, speculation has been rife over whether he will leave in the summer. With United set to miss out on Champions League football next season, doubts have been raised over whether he will want to stay put.
Fans tried to work out whether Ronaldo dropped any hints as he waved to the crowd at Old Trafford during United’s lap around the pitch following their win over Brentford. Rangnick though believes the five-time Ballon d’Or winner will be staying put.
“I don’t think why it should be a wave of goodbye,” Rangnick told Stadium Astro. “He’s got another year of his contract, and as far as I know he will be here next season again.”
Ronaldo appeared to drop a hint as he began his lap around the Old Trafford pitch on Monday night, with the Sky Sports cameras zoomed in on him as he appeared to say "I'm not finished." Whether that also means he’ll be staying with United remains to be seen.
