NEW DELHI: The champions of the inaugural edition Rajasthan Royals came to the mega auction with Rs 62 crore purse after retaining three players, and spent judiciously with Prasidh Krishna as their biggest buy. Royals spent Rs 10 crore for India's latest pace sensation.
They spent Rs 8.5 crore and Rs 8 crore respectively for West Indies batter Shimron Hetmyer and New Zealand fast bowler Trent Boult. Royals bought a good pool of India cricketers too, bringing in Devdutt Padikkal, Yuzvendra Chahal, and Ravichandran Ashwin among others.
