Raith Rovers women are attempting to cut all ties with the men's team in a fresh protest against David Goodwillie signing for the club.
It comes amid snowballing criticisms of the Championship side for signing the former Dundee United player, who was found to have raped a woman in the civil court in 2017.
The protests are being spearheaded by long-term Raith sponsor and writer Val McDermid, who cut all ties with the club after they brought in Goodwillie from Clyde on deadline day.
As promoted by McDermid herself on Twitter, the women's team are set to ditch the club badge from their shirt. They are also seeking permission to change their name and play their home games away from Stark's Park.
Women's team captain Tyler Rattray quit in the fallout to the deadline day signing as did men's director Bill Clark among a host of prominent resignations at the club.
Raith have been widely criticised with First Minister Nicola Sturgeon and Rape Crisis Scotland weighing in.
And Scottish Women’s Football chief executive Aileen Campbell has now also slammed the club, claiming the signing sends "the wrong message" to women and girls in football.
She said on BBC Good Morning Scotland: “I think the decision has been a poor one. It’s been badly misjudged. It sends the wrong signal and message to society and particularly so to women.
"The fact that the women’s club has lost its captain as a result of this is devastating and that would be a devastating consequence to lose women from the game as a result of this poor decision.”
