Airdrie boss Ian Murray is one of the bookies' favourites to take over from John McGlynn at Raith Rovers.
McGlynn and assistant Paul Smith stepped down from their roles at the Championship club yesterday, and are expected to move to League One Falkirk.
Diamonds boss Murray has steered them to the Championship play-offs following an impressive second placed season in League One, but they trail Montrose 1-0 in the semi-final first leg.
Murray is one of several names linked to Stark's Park, with Kevin Thomson favourite, after steering Kelty Hearts to the League Two title, followed by former Dundee boss James McPake.
Clyde boss Danny Lennon - a former Rovers player - and Murray are next on the list, as the Kirkcaldy club try to find a replacement.
Raith Rovers have invited applications to be sent to chief executive Karen McCartney ahead of their May 13 closing date.
