Supercars young gun Broc Feeney was left lamenting a lost opportunity to jump up the championship standings after a 14-lap sprint race was called off due to heavy rain.
Triple Eight young gun Feeney was primed to claim his second win of the season from pole position at Albert Park in Melbourne on Sunday before the race was abandoned because of unsafe track conditions.
Sunday's 30-minute session at the Australian Grand Prix started under a safety car and was eventually suspended under a red flag after two laps.
The earlier Formula Three race also ended prematurely under a red flag, and the Formula Two feature race that was to follow the Supercars was cancelled.

There were vastly different track conditions for the 24-strong Supercars grid, who battled through sweltering heat on Saturday.
Feeney, who was sharing the front row with Matt Stone Racing underdog Cam Hill, could only express his disappointment.
He is third in the series standings behind Tickford rival Cam Waters.
Defending champion Will Brown had surged back to the top of the series standings after leading a one-two finish with teammate Feeney on Saturday.
"It was certainly my day to try and get some points back on the board," Feeney said.
"The rain got heavy there for a bit. Unfortunately, when they red-flagged and we pulled back into pit lane, the rain stopped.
"I thought maybe if we did another lap under the safety car, we might have been able to get going racing.
"It doesn't matter what I thought it was - I wanted to go racing today."
Feeney pulled off a sweep of the four pole positions available this weekend, but only converted one into a race win.
Brown, who would have started the race from 21st, was on the other end of the spectrum from his teammate.

"It was pretty hairy out there," he said.
"When I was at the back, I was just thinking of letting everyone go and see what happens through the high-speed stuff because it was a lot of water across the road."
Thomas Randle avoided trouble after his Ford Mustang caught fire on the way to pit lane under the red flag.
The Tickford driver had noticed smoke emerging from the left-hand side of his car, with crew members later discovering an issue with the windscreen heater connector under the hood was the cause.
No points will be awarded to drivers from Sunday's race, though Brown held on to the Larry Perkins Trophy.
Brown won his first Larry Perkins Trophy - named after the five-time Bathurst winner - last year, awarded to the highest points-scorer of the Albert Park weekend since 2018.
Conditions are expected to clear for the season-opening Formula One race at 3pm (AEDT) on Sunday.
Supercars drivers next take their championship race to Taupo International Motorsport Park in New Zealand in April.
