There is disruption to some rail services in Wales tonight after a person was hit by a train. Rail services between England and Wales are being affected after Great Western Railway said a person was hit by a train between Didcot Parkway and Swindon earlier tonight.
The operator said all lines are currently closed as a result and that trains may be cancelled, delayed by up to 90 minutes or diverted between Reading and Bath Spa. The diverted services will not call at Didcot Parkway, Swindon or Chippenham.
There are currently delays to some services into Wales including trains from London Paddington to Swansea. Those affected include passengers travelling from Cardiff, Newport and Swansea. Anyone travelling this evening is advised to check the status of their journey as their trip could be changed at short notice. Major disruption is expected until 11pm.
