The Raiders love speed. They always have and they always will. It’s still really hard to find players who run in the 4.2s, especially at 6’4. However, that is exactly what Tariq Woolen did at the NFL Combine a few months ago.
At 6’4, 205 pounds, Woolen ran the second-fastest 40-yard dash time at the NFL Combine at 4.26. He had an insane 1.49 10-yard split and he also posted a 42 inch vertical.
According to Ryan Fowler of The Draft Network, the Raiders are set to meet with Woolen with one of their 30 visits in the upcoming days.
UTSA CB Tariq Woolen has Top 30 visits scheduled with the Las Vegas Raiders and Carolina Panthers, per source.

Woolen is still pretty raw as a cornerback as he was a receiver during the first three years of his collegiate career. But during his final season (2021), he was an Honorable Mention in the Conference USA as a defensive back. During that season, he played nine games and totaled six pass deflections.
Despite needing a lot of time to develop, Woolen has rare traits to work with that will likely get him drafted inside the top-100. If the Raiders want a cornerback with endless amounts of tools, Woolen could be an option for them at No. 86.
While 30 visits don’t always tell you where a team will go, it does appear like the Raiders are doing a ton of work on cornerbacks that could be available late in the third round. Woolen, along with Marcus Jones from Houston, are both possible picks at No. 86.
