The Las Vegas Raiders did the impossible against Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes on Monday at Arrowhead Stadium.
Las Vegas scored a defensive touchdown in the second quarter after Chiefs running back Isiah Pacheco took a direct snap and fumbled an exchange with Mahomes in the backfield. Just seven seconds of game time later, the Raiders did it again.
On the next play from scrimmage, Raiders cornerback Jack Jones stepped in front of Mahomes’s pass intended for receiver Justin Watson and raced 33 yards into the end zone for a 17–7 Las Vegas lead.
Jones stared down Mahomes his entire way down the sideline, looking back at the QB while crossing the goal line for his third career pick-six.

That play was the fourth interception returned for a touchdown that Mahomes has thrown in his NFL career.
It perfectly summarized the brutal first half for the Chiefs, who trailed 17–7 at intermission after committing two turnovers and missing a 36-yard field-goal attempt in the closing seconds of the second quarter.
