Raiders stun Packers, win 17-13 on Monday Night Football

After three straight losses, the Raiders finally picked up a win. It wasn’t pretty, but the Raiders were able to upset the Packers to win 17-13. The Raiders forced three interceptions on Monday, two of which came late in the fourth quarter.

The biggest play of the game was on a 3rd and 10 from the Raiders 35 with 50 seconds left. Jordan Love chucked a ball deep into the end zone, targeting Christian Watson. But it was Amik Robertson, who was starting for the injured Nate Hobbs, who grabbed the game-winning interception.

The player of the game for the Raiders was none other than Robert Spillane. The veteran linebacker had two big interceptions, including one late in the fourth quarter with the Packers over the 50-yard line. Spillane has been one of the better veteran signings for the Raiders in recent memory, steading the linebacker position.

It was another great performance for Maxx Crosby, who had several tackles for a loss and a sack in the fourth quarter. He was the best player on the field for either side and his effort was relentless. Crosby has five sacks on the season and should be a Defensive Player of the Year candidate once again.

The Raiders will face a familiar foe in Week 6, hosting the New England Patriots. With the Patriots struggling (1-4 on the season), it’s a good chance for the Raiders to get another win and get back to .500 by next week.
