The Las Vegas Raiders have already added two free-agent wide receivers this offseason in Jakobi Meyers and Phillip Dorsett. But it’s clear that Dave Ziegler and Josh McDaniels want to totally revamp the unit going into the 2023 NFL season.
On Friday, they are set to meet with a familiar face in DeAndre Carter, who spent the 2022 season with the Los Angeles Chargers. That news was first reported by Jordan Schultz of The Score.
Source: WR DeAndre Carter is visiting the #Raiders today. The #Chargers’ FA comes off career-bests with 46/548/3 and was a special teams ace as well. Carter’s market is heating up, with a few other teams in the mix as well.

Carter has been a part-time starter for most of his career, playing with five different teams. He has appeared in 77 games during his NFL career, playing mostly on special teams.
Carter is coming off the best season of his career, catching 46 passes for 538 yards and three touchdowns. But if he were to be added by the Raiders this weekend, look for it to be primarily as a special teamer and as a depth option at receiver.
Carter turns 30 in April and has totaled 1,301 yards during his five-year NFL career.
