Raiders Fire Antonio Pierce
The #Raiders have fired coach Antonio Pierce following a trying season, despite a flurry at the end, per me, @TomPelissero and @MikeGarafolo.

On Tuesday, the Raiders fired Pierce after his first full season with the Raiders.
Pierce became the interim head coach in October 2023 after the organization fired Josh McDaniels. Pierce closed out the season with a 5-4 record, including an eye-opening win on Christmas Day against the Chiefs.
Pierce could never gain any momentum in 2024. The Raiders went 4-13, which included a 10-game losing streak and a 0-6 record against the AFC West.
At the time of McDaniels’ firing, the Raiders were 3-5. Pierce led the Raiders to a 5-4 record to close the season, capped off by a memorable Christmas Day win against the Chiefs. The Raiders promoted Pierce to head coach that offseason.
Pierce leaves Vegas with a 9-17 record.
Two days after Pierce’s dismissal, the Raiders fired general manager Tom Telesco.
Raiders Next Head Coach Odds
Just an FYI: As of today neither Mike Vrabel or Liam Coen are on @Raiders interview list for head coach vacancy.
It’s early. That can change. But that’s the latest

Who will be the next head coach of the Raiders?
Per BetOnline, former Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Vrabel (+300) is the favorite to become the next head coach. Tom Brady is now a limited owner of the Raiders and will be on the committee to hire a new head coach. Brady and Vrabel won three Super Bowls together in New England.
Kliff Kingsbury (+400) is becoming a fast-rising candidate. The former Arizona Cardinals head coach is working as the Washington Commanders’ offensive coordinator. Kingsbury’s development of rookie Jayden Daniels has raised his stock as a head coach.
Other names to keep an eye on are Brian Flores (+400), Ben Johnson (+700), Joe Brady (+1200), and Deion Sanders (+2000).
