Raiders met with Washington State LB Daiyan Henley

One of the biggest needs that isn’t being talked about enough for the Raiders is linebacker. The team lost Denzel Perryman in free agency and if they had to play a game today, their starting linebackers would be Robert Spillane and Divine Deablo.

However, it’s safe to assume the Raiders aren’t done adding to that position and could select one very early in the 2023 NFL Draft.

One possible option is Washington State linebacker Daiyan Henley, who visited with the team this week. Henley is viewed as a Day 2 pick with upside after running a 4.54 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine.

Henley is a former high-school quarterback who converted to wide receiver, then safety, and then linebacker at Washington State. While he is still very new to the position, his size and athleticism are exactly what the Raiders need.

Don’t be surprised if the Raiders consider Henley with

one of their Day 2 picks as he is one of the top linebackers in this class.
