Raiders holding 3 head coach interviews Friday

It will be a busy day for the Raiders brass today. According to reports, they are set to interview three head coach candidates from the two best coaching staffs in the NFL.

The three head coaches who will be interviewed today are Lions OC Ben Johnson, Lions DC Aaron Glenn, and Chiefs DC Steve Spagnuolo.

Both the Lions and the Chiefs have byes as the top teams in the AFC and NFC, which is why their coaches are able to take these interviews before their teams really dig into preparations for whoever they will face among the wildcard winners.

Each of them, has busy schedules today, with all of them meeting with multiple teams virtually. There are currently six NFL teams with head coach openings — Raiders, Jaguars, Patriots, Jets, Saints, and Bears.

Along with the Raiders, Spagnuolo will also meet with the Jaguars and Jets today. Johnson met with the Raiders and Patriots on Friday and will meet with the Bears and Jaguars on Saturday. Glenn met today with the Saints and met with the Jets on Thursday.
