In a recent article by Timo Riske of Pro Football Focus, he wrote about some of the biggest individual matchups from Week 14. That included Maxx Crosby against Rob Havenstein, who is widely regarded as one of the best right tackles in the NFL.
Crosby completely dominated that matchup and was named one of the biggest winners of Week 14. Here is what Riske had to say about Crosby vs. Havenstien from Thursday Night Football:
“Crosby is a repeat fixture of this column. Across 32 pass-rush snaps against Havenstein in Week 14, he won eight times and recorded six pressures, including two sacks.”
Crosby continues to get better and better every week as he’s nearly impossible to block in one-on-one situations. He’s already recorded 11.5 sacks this season, the most of his career. He’s also totaled 19 tackles for a loss, which is six more than he had all of last year.
It’s hard to put into words just how good Crosby has been this season. He has a legitimate case to be the Defensive Player of the Year as no defensive player has been more consistent or dominant than Crosby in 2022.
