Things got a little weird on Tuesday after Chandler Jones posted a screenshot of messages about the Las Vegas Raiders. One of the complaints that Jones had was that he couldn’t get into the team’s facility to work out.
On Wednesday, head coach Josh McDaniels commented on the situation, saying that Jones would not practice today as the team deals with the situation internally. He would not comment on his status for Week 1, but it’s fair to wonder if he’ll suit up against the Broncos on Sunday.
Buy Raiders Tickets#Raiders coach Josh McDaniels says DE Chandler Jones is not going to talk about his personal situation. "It's a private matter….rIght now, we're going day to day. He's not going to be here today."

Jones signed with the Raiders as a free agent during the 2022 offseason after playing under McDaniels and Dave Ziegler (GM) in New England. Jones had just 4.5 sacks during 2022 and will turn 34 years old at the end of the 2023-2024 season.
If Jones is unable to play on Sunday, look for No. 7 overall pick Tyree Wilson and Malcolm Koonce to see more snaps against the Broncos.
