Earlier in the offseason, cornerback Nate Hobbs of the Las Vegas Raiders was arrested after going 110 mph in a 65 mph zone. This was the second time that Hobbs was arrested in Las Vegas in the same month.
His first incident came on January 3rd, as he was arrested after Las Vegas police found him asleep in his car with a blood alcohol reading of 0.08%. He did plead guilty to that charge, paying a $685 fine.
Hobbs had another court date on Monday, where he resolved his second arrest in the same month. In a recent article by ESPN and the Associated Press, they reported that Hobbs pled “no contest” and paid a $250 fine.
Hobbs was arguably the best rookie for the Raiders during the 2021 season as he won the starting slot cornerback job during training camp. Going into the 2022 season, the Raiders are expecting more out of him after the departure of Casey Hayward.
While Hobbs has settled his two legal issues in the state of Nevada, he still could be suspended by the NFL under their personal conduct policy. We will continue to update this story as more information becomes available.
