The Raiders are on the board again! This time, it’s a wide receiver. And it might not be one that you expected to join this offseason.
According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Media, the Raiders are signing wide receiver Jakobi Meyers to a three-year deal worth up to $33 million. Meyers was the top free-agent wide receiver on the open market as he’s just 26 years old with 39 starts under his belt.

Meyers has been incredibly productive over the last four years, totaling over 2,700 yards for the Patriots. During the 2022 season, Meyers averaged 57 yards per game for the Patriots and scored a career-high six touchdowns. This is the first big splash in the wide receiver market after no outside free agents were signed on Monday.
Meyers will join a talented group of pass catchers including Davante Adams, Darren Waller, and Hunter Renfrow. He’ll work as the No. 2 receiver, likely starting on the outside for the Raiders. The Raiders wanted to load up on weapons for Jimmy Garoppolo and have certainly accomplished that so far.
