The Raiders’ coaching search has been moving quickly this offseason. Pete Carroll quickly got his coordinators and those coordinators are quickly filling out their staffs.
Two more key positions coaches are in place for the Raiders. New OC Chip Kelly lands running backs coach Deland McCullough and wide receivers coach Chris Beatty.
McCullough coached at Notre Dame the past three seasons. He had coached with the Chiefs for three seasons from 2019-20.
Beatty has been an NFL wide receivers coach the past four seasons. The first three with the Chargers and last season in Chicago where he was named the interim offensive coordinator following the firing of head coach Matt Eberflus.
McCullough and Beatty are not the first position coaches to join the Raiders. They had previously brought on Pete Carroll’s son Brennan as the team’s offensive line coach and brought back former OC Greg Olson as QB coach.
Meanwhile Carroll retained defensive coordinator Patrick Graham and he in turn retained defensive line coach Rob Leonard. They also added Carroll’s former LB coach from the Seahawks, John Glenn.
