New Delhi: Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi visited a vegetable market in Delhi’s Giri Nagar area and interacted with women who shared their concerns about the soaring food prices.

Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday shared a video of his visit to the marker and criticised the government for high inflation and accused it of compelling middle-class to make compromises on daily needs.
‘Government is sleeping like Kumbhakaran’
“Garlic was once Rs 40, today it is Rs 400! Rising inflation has spoiled the budget of common man's kitchen - Government is sleeping like Kumbhakaran,” Rahul Gandhi wrote on X.

When Rahul Gandhi asked the woman why inflation is increasing, she said: “The government which is in power does not care that the inflation is increasing.”

The video has now gone viral on Social media.
In the video, he can be seen interacting with the women and tried to understand their problems. The women told him that the income remained stagnant, inflation kept increasing uncontrollably.
