: The imminent change in Manipur and the country beyond would be the focus of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s speech at an election rally in State capital Imphal on Monday, the party said.
Jairam Ramesh, the AICC in charge of Manipur told journalists on Sunday that a meeting with the State party leaders will follow the public rally.
“The BJP-led coalition has done nothing for the people. There was no election to the autonomous district councils in the hills, no examination by the Manipur Public Service Commission for job appointments in a State with a high percentage of unemployment,” he said.
“Mr. Gandhi will speak on the change that is imminent in India,” Congress leader Bhakta Charan Das said.
Meanwhile, reports of pre-poll violence continue to pour in from across poll-bound Manipur.
