New Delhi: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Friday slammed the central government of ignoring the activities of China and said the northern neighbour is building the foundation for "hostile action in future”.
"China is building the foundations for hostile action in the future. By ignoring it, the Government is betraying India," he said in a tweet.
General Charles A Flynn, Commanding General, US Army Pacific, while interacting with a group of journalists in New Delhi on Wednesday had said Chinese activity near Ladakh is "eye-opening" and some of the infrastructure being created is alarming.

India and the US will conduct a high-altitude joint training in the Himalayas in October this year as a part of the Yuddh Abhyas exercises.
The standoff between India and China in Ladakh began in May 2020 when Chinese troops tried to unilaterally alter the LAC in Eastern Ladakh sector, where the border is not clearly demarcated.
The Chinese action led to eyeball-to-eyeball situation, especially in Depsang, Pangong Lake, Gogra Hills and Hot Springs areas, as India mobilised troops to match Chinese military buildup to thwart the designs of the adversary.
The subsequent rounds of talks resulted in disengagement in Pangong Lake and Gogra areas. However, the standoff continues in some other areas like Depsang. (UNI)
