Raheem Sterling at a Chelsea crossroads after being booed off against Leicester

Chelsea beat 10-man Leicester with a dramatic 4-2 win at Stamford Bridge, but tensions still remain.

Some home supporters booed Raheem Sterling and manager Mauricio Pochettino as tensions boiled over as Chelsea threatened to collapse from 2-0 up.

It was another win in the furnace of pressure at Stamford Bridge as Chelsea rely on the FA Cup to keep their season alive.

But, amid pressure, Chelsea again reached Wembley after late goals from Carney Chukwuemeka and Noni Madueke.

Sterling is losing fan support

In remarkable second-half scenes, Sterling was booed and there were chants of “get him off” from the Matthew Harding End.

It came moments after he skied a free-kick high into the stand after Callum Doyle was sent off for his last-man foul.

Sterling had earlier missed a penalty and a one-on-one, but got an excellent assist for Palmer to make partial amends during a difficult first half.

The home supporters booed Pochettino’s decision to take off Mykhailo Mudryk instead of Sterling when Carney Chukwuemeka came on the pitch. Where does Sterling, who looks low on confidence, go from here?

Disasi and Sanchez calamities

After a positive first half, several Chelsea players had their problematic moments.

It began when Robert Sanchez, who has lost his starting role as a goalkeeper, was caught in possession by Patson Daka early on.

He then flapped at a host of crosses in a fairly even match.

Axel Disasi was steady as ever throughout the first half, but a split-second miscalculation while under pressure from Daka saw him strike the ball into his own net from 30 yards.

It will go down as one of the great own goals, allowing Leicester back into the game.

Sensational substitutes

Carney Chukwuemeka and Noni Madueke made exactly the impact Pochettino wanted from the bench.

His two attacking substitutes both squad, with Chukwuemeka getting Chelsea back in front after a sensational one-two with Cole Palmer and Madueke then scored a stunning solo goal.

The two England Under-21 internationals are knocking on the door to start after the international break. They saved Chelsea after Disasi's own goal and Stephy Mavididi's stunning equaliser levelled after goals from Marc Cucurella and Cole Palmer.
