The franchise that started with Ragini MMS in 2011 has come a long way now. Also, from a movie, it has mutated into a web series. The makers, ALT Balaji, have released the trailer of Ragini MMS Returns, and it’s getting an overwhelming response on YouTube. In less than 24 hours, the trailer has registered more than 5.8 million hits.
The 115-second trailer begins with an introduction of what happened in Ragini MMS and Ragini MMS 2 (2014). We are reminded of the haunted houses couples in the earlier iterations chose for a wild night.
Well, this time, it’s college students who are out there in a secluded palatial house to spend some time together. They don’t know that there’s somebody else who is keeping an eye on them. Interestingly, the third person or spirit creeps in between the lovers just when things are heating up between them.
Karishma Sharma raises the oomph quotient of the trailer right from the beginning by flaunting her chiselled body in neon green lingerie. She has been projected as the chief attraction of the web series and she serves the purpose.
Produced by Ekta Kapoor, the trailer of Ragini MMS Returns intends to provide some cheap thrills in the name of erotic horror. Directed by Suyash Vadhavkar, the web series also features Riya Sen and Siddharth Gupta.
Ragini MMS Returns starts streaming on September 21, 2017.
