Raging Neil Lennon goes tonto as former Celtic boss held back after astonishing referee row in Cup Final

Former Celtic boss Neil Lennon is facing a mammoth touchline ban over the angry scenes that marred his side's unlikely Cypriot Cup win.

The Omonia Nicosia manager was ejected from the touchline after an astonishing blast that saw him appear to make a "smoking" signal at officials.

But worse was yet to follow as he let rip following his red card, as he mockingly clapped at the match official before being held back by players and coaching staff.

His team defeated Achnas in the Final despite playing 115 minutes without Shehu Abdullahi.

But the big story will likely be Lennon's looming ban as he was left furious with multiple match officials.

The former Celtic boss has often railed against over his reputation for a fiery nature but he now faces a lengthy ban.

He served multiple bans during his time with Celtic and Hibs and was involved in high profile dust-ups with the likes of Ally McCoist and Jim Duffy during his time managing in Scotland.

His success at Nicosia boss comes after his side finished in the bottom half of the table before his arrival.
