Rafael Nadal vs Francisco Cerundolo: Wimbledon 2022 prediction, start time, TV, live stream and h2h results

Rafael Nadal gets underway at Wimbledon on Tuesday with a first-round clash against Francisco Cerundolo.

The 22-time Grand Slam champion has enjoyed yet another incredible year so far, winning the Melbourne Summer Set before following up with victories at both the Australian and Mexican Open.

After injury worries, the French Open was the next to conquer and the 36-year-old was at least able to prepare for this year’s tournament at an exhibition event.

Still, Nadal has not been in the Wimbledon final since 2011 and is facing a man to have burst onto the scene this year. Cerundolo reached the semi-finals at the Miami Open and can approach his debut in SW19 relatively free of pressure.

Nadal vs Cerundolo prediction

While Nadal’s injury issues are certainly worth taking into consideration, the fact of the matter is that Nadal has won more ATP matches this year than his opponent has managed in his career.

The Argentine boasts a decent serve and Nadal hasn’t exactly enjoyed much success at Wimbledon in recent years, although his blistering forehand will likely prove too much.
