Madrid (Spain): Spain's Rafael Nadal on Thursday announced his retirement from tennis. The Davis Cup finals, which slated to be held next month, will be his last international apperance.
The Spaniard made the announcement in an emotional video on his social media account, expressing his gratitude for the support throughout his career.
In the video, he said: I’m here to let you know that I am retiring from professional tennis."

The reality is that it has been some difficult years, these last two especially," he added in the video.
"It is obviously a difficult decision, one that has taken me some time to make. But in this life everything has a beginning and an end, he said.

Will make last apperance in Davis Cup finals
22-time Grand Slam champion will paly his last international match in the Davis Cup finals in Malaga. Spain will face the Netherlands in the quarter-finals between 19 and 21 November. Nadal was added to the squad after he recovered from an injury.
