Rafa Marín Set To Join Napoli From Real Madrid

Real Madrid

Real Madrid defender Rafa Marín is on the verge of completing a move to Serie A side Napoli in a deal worth €12 million. The transfer includes a buy-back clause of €25 million that can be activated in 2026, rising to €35 million in 2027. Additionally, Napoli can pay an extra €10 million in 2025 to double the buy-back clauses to €50 million in 2026 and €70 million in 2027.

Marín, who joined Real Madrid at 14, has never played for the first team but has made 69 appearances for Castilla. The 22-year-old has represented Spain at various youth levels and impressed during a loan spell at Deportivo Alavés, making 35 appearances and standing out with his technical ability and defensive prowess.

Marín's departure could be followed by fellow defender Jesús Vallejo, who is also available for transfer. Real Madrid is looking to offload players like Dani Ceballos and secure new contracts for veterans Luka Modric and Lucas Vázquez.

The club is undergoing a transition period, aiming to refresh the squad while maintaining a competitive edge. Marín's move to Napoli signifies a step in this direction, providing him with the opportunity to continue his development at a new club.

As Real Madrid fans eagerly await further transfer developments, the club's focus remains on strengthening the squad for the upcoming season. Marín's imminent departure marks the beginning of what promises to be an eventful summer for the Spanish giants.
