Glen Johnson believes Liverpool and Manchester City are good enough to win 'every league around the world'.
The Reds had to settle for a point at the weekend with a 2-2 draw in the Premier League clash at the Etihad Stadium. Goals from Diogo Jota and Sadio Mane leave Liverpool one point behind Man City with seven matches left to play.
Next up for Jurgen Klopp’s side in the league are two ‘derbies’ with Manchester United and Everton both set to come to Anfield in the next couple of weeks. Liverpool are also in Champions League and FA Cup action before they return to league duties.

Despite not taking maximum points at the Etihad, ex-Liverpool defender Johnson claims his former side can still leapfrog Man City and win the title. The ex-right-back went on to argue why ‘it’s a shame’ that one of the two teams will miss out on the top prize.
“Yes, absolutely,” Johnson told BettingOdds.com , when asked if Liverpool can still win the league.
“It’s a shame because both teams are good enough to win the Premier League. The standard of the game shows you where the two teams are at.
“Either team could have won that game, it was just two giants going toe to toe, and right now I don't think anyone can pick the winner of the league just yet.
“Both Liverpool and Manchester City would probably win every league around the world.
“Even with the top four, to be honest, I think the standard of the Premier League has really escalated.”
