Radio star Jenny Greene says new nightly show is a 'dream come true'

Radio DJ Jenny Greene has landed a new nightly weekend show since she was bumped off her drivetime slot on 2FM.

The RTE star’s afternoon slot was replaced earlier this month by the 2 Johnnies in a major 2FM shake-up.

RTE has announced Jenny will now host a new show, The Greene Room, nightly from Sunday until Thursday from 9pm, with Sunday’s show kicking off at 10pm.

She will also host her own Saturday night show, The Electric Disco.

Jenny said the new shake-up is a “dream come true”.

"I’m really looking forward to joining the night time schedule on 2FM. Music radio has always been my first love and my passion so being given the opportunity to do this on a nightly basis feels like a dream come true."

The new show, which airs Monday to Thursdays from 9pm, will see Jenny curate a selection of the finest Indie & Electronic, including live chats with people from the world of music, film and entertainment.

While the show on Sunday from 10pm will be a chill-out zone where Jenny winds down the weekend with a relaxing mix of calming and down tempo tracks to ease you into the week ahead.
