Long-time radio host Niall Boylan has taken to Twitter to ask his listeners to tune in for his last daytime show on Ireland's Classic Hits this week.
The award-winning broadcaster goes on air on The Niall Boylan Show every day on Classic Hits FM, broadcast from 12pm-2pm and from 9pm-1am Monday to Thursday.
Taking to Twitter the radio mainstay thanked his fans for a "marvellous" 12 years, adding that he is looking forward to going on the air during his daytime show one final time and getting to share the experience with listeners. His final daytime show will broadcast on Friday at midday.

In the post on Twitter, Boylan wrote: "Don’t forget to join me tomorrow at midday for my last daytime show at Ireland’s Classic Hits.
"It’s been a marvellous twelve years and I look forward to you joining me then. Thank you one and all."
However, fans of the talk show host do not need to be disappointed as he announced that he would still be engaging with both podcasting and radio, adding in a comment under the post: "I’ll still be hosting Night Time Talk on Irelands Classic Hits Radio from Monday-Thursday from 9pm-Midnight and hosting my own Podcast so stay tuned for some great content.”
Long-time listeners poured into the comments to share their sadness at the news, with one Twitter user posting: “Devastating news, you’ve been the most outspoken and honest. Will be tuning in at night and the podcast. Best of luck”.
Independent Navan Councillor Alan Lawes added in another comment: “Wishing you all the best in the future Niall. I hope your future will still be in broadcasting.”
One more Twitter user commented: “Pity to see, will look forward to the eve show still, hope the podcast goes well, will stay tuned.”
Another added: “Cannot believe the daytime show is ending.”
