Radio 2's Sara Cox shows off six pack transformation after being inspired by Rylan

Sara Cox, 47, has shown off her impressive six-pack on social media, after being inspired by Rylan to complete an intense fitness challenge.

The mum-of-three told her social media followers she was feeling "fit n strong" on Monday, as she shared a snap of her enviable figure after completing the March wave of The Six Pack Revolution.

Alongside admitting she was pretty "chuffed" to complete the tough fitness challenge in her forties, Sara confessed her Radio 2 colleague Rylan's results at the start of the year motivated her to follow suit.

Across both Instagram and Twitter, the radio star and author shared snaps of her incredible toned physique and explained how 10 weeks of not drinking has been something she had enjoyed experiencing - despite some temptation.

Captioning a series of pictures and clips showing off her six-pack on Instagram, Sara told her followers: "YASSSSSS @thesixpackrevolution done & after 10 weeks I feel ruddy ace. Loved not drinking - tho 2 big family parties AND an all inclusive holiday on the wagon was a challenge but definitely worth it

"Been into fitness for a bit but really needed a kick up the tush & this has been brilliant. Pretty chuffed that I cracked it aged 47."

She added: Recommend it massively if you want to have a go. Thanks @iamscottharrison for all the support & @rylan for encouraging me to give it a go."

Sara concluded she was ready to "tumble off the wagon" at a pal's STEN party, but promised to resume her fitness routine soon.

The former ladette's celebrity friends were quick to praise her incredible transformation, with former Strictly Come Dancing Oti Mabuse commenting: "Omgggggg @djsaracox you look incredible."

Fearne Cotton left a series of love-heart emojis underneath the inspiring Instagram update, while former Radio 1 DJ Annie Mac complimented her pal with a simple: "FIT!"

Over on Twitter, Sara revealed a bit more about her fitness motivations when sharing a post from The Six Pack Revolution.

Quote-tweeting the update showcasing her results, the star wrote: "Loved it. feel fit n strong. saw @Rylan's results & thought 'oooh I’ll have me a bit of that please'."

Rylan - who unveiled his six-pack in January - shared Sara's snaps to his own fanbase, telling his fellow radio star: "So proud of u. Stunner xxxx."

Speaking at the start of the year, Rylan explained how his own personal health kick had benefitted him mentally, in addition to physically.

"Getting fit and looking after my body has saved me. Fitness has given me a goal," the former X Factor star admitted when showing off the result of working with The Six Pack Revolution’s Scott Harrison.

"It’s done more for my mental health than it has for my body, which is a crazy thing to say because you can physically see the body change."
