On BBC Radio 2 this morning, a raft of acts for the Live in Leeds festival were announced. Zoe Ball revealed the first 13 acts to be gracing the stage in Temple Newsam on September 17 and 18.
The festival, which will be held at Temple Newsam Park, is the very first BBC Live festival to be held outside of London's Hyde Park. And it is the first to take place since the Covid pandemic, after 2020's festival was an online affair.
Announcing the first 13 acts this morning, Zoe Ball was joined by some of the artists who told listeners how excited they were to be performing in Leeds. But there are more to come, as the festival will host more than 20 bands and musicians.

Tickets for the festival go on sale on Thursday, June 16, with more acts are expected to be announced in the coming days. Zoe Ball said: "I can tell you the whole Radio 2 family can't wait to be in Leeds this year for R2 Live. We are ready for two days of dancing and singing along with our fabulous listeners and some brilliant live acts."
LeedsLive readers had their own list of artists that they were hoping would be making an appearance at the festival, with a couple of people's choices already announced.
