Las Vegas Strip casino brings back discontinued show fans love

Las Vegas may be Sin City, but there are certain sins you can't actually see on the Las Vegas Strip. The Strip has every manner of entertainment, including some racy shows, but it does not actually have any strip clubs.

If you want to see that particular form of entertainment., there are lots of choices that are pretty close to the Strip, but none actually on it.

"While there are no actual strip clubs on the Las Vegas Strip, visiting the adjacent streets will yield several spots to get a lap dance, have a drink, or hang out for some adult entertainment. Las Vegas has the best strip clubs in the country and what the clubs offer go unmatched anywhere else," wrote OnTheStrip.com.

The Strip itself may not offer strippers, but it does have a number of adult shows. That includes burlesque shows, and a series of topless revues run by Stabile Productions, which also produces Piff the Magic Dragon's show at Flamingo.

Stabile has a longstanding relationship with Caesars Entertainment (CZR) with its 'X Country' show — a topless revue set to country music — playing at Harrah's. It also has "X Burlesque" running at Flamingo.

The show, according to the company's website, goes beyond other similar shows.

"How do the producers do this? They encourage 'X Burlesque' to push the envelope by utilizing contemporary music, video, props, sexy costuming, make-up, lighting, and other erotic visualization techniques to go beyond “dance numbers,” beyond stereotypical “Las Vegas topless shows," Stabile shared.

Caesars brings back 'X Rocks'

"X Rocks" played at the resort casino that used to be known as Bally's before it shut down due to Covid. During that period, Caesars rebranded the resort casino under its Horseshoe name and did not bring back the topless shows set to rock music.

It seemed like it wasn't coming back, at least to that location, but it's making a surprising return.

The show "is finally returning to the stage, at Imagine Theater at the Horseshoe. The re-opening is Sept. 4, with shows set for 9:30 p.m. Wednesdays through Sundays," the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported.

In addition to its run at Bally's, "X Rocks" also played at Rio, a property Caesars once managed. It opened at that off-strip resort in 2013.

"'X Rocks' has taken some of the most powerful rock songs of all time and combined them with erotic, high-energy choreography, unbelievable sets, props, and costumes to create a show unlike any other in Las Vegas! X Rocks also features the brilliant comedy of Nancy Ryan," Stabile shared on its website.

Caesars has been strong in Las Vegas

While business has cooled somewhat on the Las Vegas Strip after a series of massive events including an F1 race and the Super Bowl. COO Anthony Carano talked about his company's performance during its first-quarter earnings call.

"There were several bright spots during the quarter, including record Q1 occupancy in Las Vegas driven by strong visitation, 23% online sports gaming, net gaming revenue growth, and 54% iCasino net gaming revenue growth in our digital segment and sequential improvement in operating results in our regional segment each month during Q1," he shared.

The company had an incredible quarter when it came to filling rooms on the Strip.

"Occupancy in Q1 reached 97.6%, a new Q1 record, which also drove a record for Q1 cash hotel and food and beverage revenues during the quarter," he added.

CEO Tom Reeg shared his thoughts on the quarter as well.

"If you look at our volumes, slots were about flat. As Anthony said, Hotel and F&B hit set first quarter records, and both Hotel and F&B overcame – the revenue overcame the increases in union cost to deliver more profitability to us," he shared.
