Racing Tips: Andrew Mount's Spreadex Analysis - Thursday, November 7th - Sportscasting UK

Leading horse racing advisor Andrew Mount contributes to various Racing Post publications including the Weekender and Racing & Football Outlook, plus the GG.co.uk website. Unearthing value bets via handy systems and statistics, he shares his latest thoughts with SportsCasting readers below.

The great thing about Spreadex is that offers both normal fixed odds betting plus spread betting on horse racing. There are some key differences, of course, between this form of gambling and placing regular fixed odds bets.

Make the right call and punters could win big, but the potential to lose money can be much higher. Intrigued? Then check out this how to spread bet on horse racing guide:

Andrew heads to the jumps meetings at Ludlow and Newbury for his two recommended bets/trades on Thursday, November 7th…

LUDLOW 12.40

SCHOOL DAYS OVER didn’t cover himself in glory at Chepstow last time, pulling up after a mistake four out when sent off at single-figure outs for a 13-runner handicap chase. However, Fergal O’Brien’s seven-year-old had to be checked by the vet pre-race after colliding with a running rail and that effort looks safe to ignore. The return to hurdles will suit, as will the return to a right-handed track – both his wins have come when racing in this direction – and he scored at Hereford in the corresponding week last year. Buy in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market or take a fixed odds price.

Recommendation: Back SCHOOL DAZE OVER in Ludlow 12.40

NEWBURY 3.27

It’s possible that TWIN JETS will take a step forward from his reappearance 9-2 fifth (beaten by 30 lengths) at Chepstow but his jumping still gives cause for concern – he fenced abysmally over Doncaster’s easy obstacles when beaten by a similar margin at odds of 1-2 on his final outing last term – and Paul Nicholls’ seven-year-old doesn’t fit the stats for this race (it usually goes to a seasonal debutant). At the time of writing the topweight was vying for favouritism and he looks worth selling in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market. Fixed odds punters might want to side with the reappearing I’D LIKE TO KNOW, who has a win and a short head second to his name from two runs at today’s venue/

Recommendation: Oppose TWIN JETS in Newbury 3.27
