BG Pathum coach Makoto Teguramori blasted the referee after champions Buriram United came from two goals down to earn a 2-2 draw in Thai League 1 on Sunday night.
The Rabbits raced to a 2-0 lead from an own goal by Naruebodin Weerawatnodom in the 26th minute and Ikhsan Fandi three minutes later at Chang Arena.
However, the hosts rallied in the second half with strikes by Goran Causic from the penalty spot in the 59th minute and Supachai Chaided in injury time.
Teguramori claimed the match official made several "ugly" decisions.
"I disagree with several decisions by the referee. I don't know which rules he was using in making those decisions," said the Japanese.
Pathum, who were runners-up behind Buriram last season, only have one point from two games.
However, Teguramori chose to look on the bright side.
"It's still a long way to go," he said.
"Getting one point from the defending champions is crucial."
Buriram coach Masatada Ishii praised his players for their fighting spirit.
Meanwhile, the match between Police Tero and Port was abandoned after 39 minutes due to a heavy downpour.
Hosts Police were leading 1-0 but were reduced to 10 men when play was stopped.
After one hour, the referee decided to call off the match as the pitch was unplayable.
A new date will be announced later.
