Rabbi Matondo edging closer to Rangers transfer exit

Rabbi Matondo is edging closer towards the Rangers exit door.

Sky Germany are reporting that the winger, 24, will join Hannover 96 on loan until the end of the season.

Reporter Florian Plettenberg says the Bundesliga 2 club will also have an option to buy the Wales international in the summer.

Matondo is believed to already be in Germany ahead of securing the deal.

He wrote on X: "Rabbi #Matondo is on the verge of a move to Hannover 96!

"Negotiations with @RangersFC over a loan until the end of the season with an option to buy are in the final stages.

"A verbal agreement with the 24-year-old winger has already been reached. According to BILD, Matondo is already on site. Confirmed."

Matondo has made just eight appearances so far this season. He has scored two goals and has the same amount of assists to his name.

He has struggled with injury during his time in Glasgow. Hamstring issues have hampered his minutes under Philippe Clement this term.
