A small stretch of road in Sefton that looks just like a regular rest stop is actually a hidden dining destination loved by local residents.
Nestled between the busy A59 Northway and Liverpool Road North in Maghull, the site has all the regular amenities of a services, including an ESSO garage and a car repair shop.
However, to the rear are some of the area's best restaurants and bars serving cuisine from across the globe.

The venues on offer include long-standing restaurant the Greek Taverna, which is regularly hailed as a favourite of local residents.
On Tripadvisor, Maghull's Greek Taverna is listed as the sixth best restaurant specialising in Greek cuisine in the city. It is also listed as the second best restaurant in the Maghull area.
Another long-standing venue at the site is Milly's, an opulent wine bar that has a TARDIS quality - it may look small from the outside but the inside is huge, lined with booths and TVs for sports fans. The venue also has a food offering, serving 'Tex Mex' inspired cuisine.
There are a range of other facilities at the services, including takeaways Piri Piri Express and The Jade View, as well as a dry cleaners. On the petrol station side is the Lal Qila, Maghull's number one Indian restaurant on Tripadvisor.
The strip is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to Maghull's culinary offering. Pan Asian bar and grill Furusato opened on the corner of Westway and Northway in 2021.
The stylish venue serves a host of small plates, as well as hosting live entertainment nights and bottomless brunches. The same team is behind delicatessen One Central on Maghull Square which serves delicious sandwiches and drinks.
Elsewhere is The Cabin on Stafford Moreton Way, and Neptune Brewery is preparing to open its new taproom in a former bookmakers on Liverpool Road North.
