Question Time announces major change to audience selection for tonight's show

QUESTION Time has announced a change to how it has selected its audience members for Thursday evening’s show.

The political debate show, which is being broadcast from Oxford on Thursday night, will feature an audience full of “undecided voters”.

Normally, those applying to be in the audience are asked about their previous voting record and future voting intentions.

According to the Question Time website, the audience is intended to “broadly reflect the electoral map of the nation in which we are broadcasting”.

However, in a post on Twitter/X, the show announced: “Tomorrow night we are back with a first for the programme – all of our audience members will be undecided voters.”

Who is on tonight’s show?

Appearing on tonight’s show will be Tory MP and former business secretary Andrea Leadsom.

Labour MP for Wigan and the shadow secretary for international development Lisa Nandy will also be making an appearance.

Anand Menon, the director of UK in a Changing Europe, will also be on tonight’s programme as will the chairman of Asda Lord Stuart Rose.

With politics just returning from recess, a number of topics are likely to be up for discussion.

The Post Office scandal is likely to come up while today’s other major news sees South Africa brings its genocide case against Israel at the International Court of Justice.
