Quentin Tarantino welcomes his second child with wife Daniella

Quentin Tarantino and wife Daniella have announced the birth of their second child.

The pair, who also share a two-year-old son called Leo, welcomed their daughter on July 2.

A statement given to PEOPLE said: "Daniella and Quentin Tarantino are happy to announce that Daniella gave birth to their baby girl on July 2, 2022, a little sister to Leo, their first child."

The Once Upon a Time in... director, 59, and the model, 38, first announced they were expecting their second child in February.

Daniella is the daughter of Israeli singer-songwriter Tzvika Pick. Quentin and Daniella first started dating after meeting the director in 2009 during his promotion period for Inglorious Basterds.

The duo got engaged in June 2017 before tying the knot a year later in November 2018.

The ceremony took place at their Beverly Hills home and they welcomed baby son Leo in February 2020 in Israel.

Now, they split their time between Los Angeles and Daniella's native Israel.

Speaking on Jimmy Kimmel Live! last year, Quentin explained how his son's name came about.

He revealed it wasn't because of his close relationship with Leonardo DiCaprio, despite what some assume, saying they almost didn't give him the name for that very reason.

He admitted: "There's nothing wrong with that, but … he's named after my wife's grandfather, but also because, just in our hearts, he was our little lion.

"So he's a lion. That's how we thought about him."

Quentin has worked with some of the world's most famous actors throughout his successful career which spans over three decades, including John Travolta, Samuel L. Jackson, Brad Pitt and Uma Thurman.

He has won numerous accolades for his work in cinema, including two Oscars and two BAFTAs.

The star received his first Oscar in 1995 for the iconic film Pulp Fiction, for which he won Best Original Screenplay.

Almost two decades later he won the award again for his work on Django Unchained, starring Jamie Foxx.
