Quentin Tarantino brands Peppa Pig the 'greatest British import of our decade'

Quentin Tarantino has hailed children's cartoon Peppa Pig as the "greatest British import of our decade".

The director, 59, admitted he has become a huge fan of the show after watching it with his two-year-old son Leo.

When he's not writing or directing, Quentin can often be found binge watching kids shows and revealed the first film he showed his son was Despicable Me.

In an interview with Empire, Quentin said: "I actually do like Peppa Pig. I watch it a lot. I'll say it - Peppa Pig is the greatest British import of this decade."

Quentin recently became a father for the second time after his wife Daniella Pick, 38, welcomed their daughter on July 2.

They are yet to share the name of their daughter, but a statement was released on their behalf: "Daniella and Quentin Tarantino are happy to announce that Daniella gave birth to their baby girl on July 2, 2022, a little sister to Leo, their first child."

The pair met in 2009 when the director was working to promote Inglourious Basterds in Israel - which is where Daniella is from.

Leo was born in Israel and the pair split their time between there and the US.

He famously said that a wife or child may disrupt his filmmaking, but clearly had a change of mind.

He'd previous said: "Here’s the thing. When I’m doing a movie, I’m not doing anything else. It’s all about the movie. I don’t have a wife. I don’t have a kid. Nothing can get in my way.

"The whole world can go to hell and burst into flames. I don’t care.

"This is my life. It’s Mount Everest. If you’re climbing Mount Everest, you’re not doing anything else."

In 2018 the pair got married in a star-studded celebration at their home in Beverly Hills.

While some of the guests included the likes of Uma Thurman, Bruce Willis, Samuel L Jackson - the wedding was said to have been hosted by disgraced Harvey Weinstein.

While Quentin previously alluded to the fact that he would retire from Hollywood after he made his 10th film - which will be his next one - it's still a mystery what that would be.

When he was asked whether or not there would be another Kill Bill, he replied: "Why not?"

He revealed that he is planning a comedy that he described as a Spaghetti Western.

He said: "It's not like my next movie. It's a piece of something else that I'm thinking about doing - and I'm not going to describe what it is. But part of this thing, there is supposed to be a Spaghetti Western in it."
