Queer Eye's Tan France to host new UK series of Say Yes To The Dress

Queer Eye star and fashion expert Tan France will host a new UK series of Say Yes To The Dress, it has been revealed. The 39-year-old will front the eight-part show which will be set in a secret location in the English countryside.

Tan found worldwide fame as the fashion expert on Netflix’s award-winning and hugely popular makeover show Queer Eye. He is usually seen on screen alongside his fellow 'Fab Five' co-stars Bobby Berk, Karamo Brown, Jonathan Van Ness and Antoni Porowski.

But in this new venture, TV personality Tan will be going solo as he helps 24 brides, based in the UK, find their dream dress ahead of their big day. “I can’t wait to meet the brides, I can’t wait to show that I am so invested in making them feel beautiful," he said.

“This dress means so much, it’s the one thing that they will put on their bodies that I hope will make them feel like nothing else and to know that I get to be a small part of that is something special."

The star, who has previously hosted other shows Dressing Funny and Next In Fashion, continued: "I can’t wait for the audience to see what I do with my version of Say Yes To The Dress. I hope you’re going to be blown away.”

The reality series, which is available on TLC and discovery+ in the UK, is now searching for brides-to-be wanting to take part in the upcoming series. A video of Tan was shared on TLC's Twitter page as he asked for those still searching for their "perfect" wedding dress to apply to be on the show.

“To say that we are excited about Tan France joining the Say Yes To The Dress family is an understatement," Clare Laycock, head of content at Warner Bros Discovery, which TLC is a part of, said: "Tan’s ability to bring out the best in people coupled with his razor-sharp eye for style will give our brides the wedding day they truly deserve and bring a new flavour and energy to this iconic franchise.”

It has not yet been confirmed when the new series of Say Yes To The Dress will air but TLC is available on Sky, Virgin and BT. If you want to apply to be on the show, you can find an application form at sayyeswithtan.com.
