Queensland woman charged with assaulting baby

A Brisbane woman has been charged over the alleged assault of an infant.

The 29-year-old woman allegedly assaulted the baby at an address in Camira in Brisbane's south on March 7.

The child is known to her.

The Camira woman was arrested without incident on Friday and charged with one count of grievous bodily harm.

She was denied police bail and remanded to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court on Saturday.
