Queensland Rugby League is on the hunt for a new chief executive after Rohan Sawyer announced he's quitting the organisation.
Sawyer has been CEO since 2021, having originally joined the QRL as chief operating officer three years prior.
QRL chairman Bruce Hatcher said a smooth transition to a new CEO was vital to maintaining "a game that unites, excites and inspires all Queenslanders".
"As a custodian of the game, the QRL is uniquely positioned to facilitate programs and initiatives to drive growth and engagement, from community rugby league right through to high performance and pathways," he said.
"We have ambitious growth targets across our game this year and beyond."
"The QRL is proud of the leadership role it plays in shaping the delivery of the game from community rugby league to the elite level.
"Our important priorities include upskilling coaches, referees and volunteers, in addition to the marketing, promotion and consumption of our game to ensure it is enjoyed throughout the state."
Sawyer will leave the organisation on March 30 before former QRL managing director Robert Moore fills the role in an interim capacity as they hunt for a new permanent boss.
