A Queensland truck driver, who allegedly was driving unlicensed, has been granted bail over a freeway crash in the foothills of Adelaide.
Ross Hicks, 60, will return to Queensland after facing the Adelaide Magistrates Court charged with numerous offences, including acts to endanger life, nine counts of dangerous driving causing harm, and driving unlicensed.
Police said the man's truck crashed into six stationary cars and a passenger bus when it was unable to stop at the bottom of the South Eastern Freeway on Sunday afternoon.
The driver of the Mitsubishi truck was taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries before he was arrested on Tuesday night.
Nine people received minor injuries in the crash at the intersection of Portrush and Cross roads, while another five were not injured.
Police have previously said it was "absolutely miraculous" that no-one was killed or seriously injured.
Mr Hicks has no driving restrictions while on bail before his next court appearance in December.
The notorious intersection has been the site of multiple fatal crashes in the past decade involving trucks unable to stop on the steep into suburban Adelaide.
