A man has died in custody in Queensland, four days after a similar death in Western Australia.
The 68-year-old man died while being transported to the Brisbane City Watchhouse on Tuesday night after being arrested in Fortitude Valley earlier in the day over alleged drug offences.
He was found unresponsive as the police vehicle arrived at the watchhouse and was given first aid but pronounced dead soon after.
"While the circumstances of his death are still to be determined, the investigation will include consideration of any underlying health conditions," Queensland Police said in a statement on Wednesday.

On Christmas Eve, an Indigenous woman died after suffering a medical episode at a prison in WA.
The 41-year-old had been on life support since being taken to hospital from Wandoo Rehabilitation Prison in Perth on December 21, the WA Department of Justice said.
Prison officers and medical staff gave first aid until paramedics arrived via air ambulance, the department said, with preliminary reports showing no suspicious circumstances.
WA Corrective Services Commissioner Mike Reynolds offered his condolences to the woman's family.
