Queens of the Stone Age at Cardiff Castle: Who is supporting the band?

In a great week of music for Cardiff as just days after the Principality Stadium welcomed international popstar Harry Styles, Queens of the Stone Age will be performing at Cardiff Castle. The American band are making a pitstop in Wales as part of their UK tour before heading to Somerset to play Glastonbury Festival at the weekend.

Playing at Cardiff Castle on Friday, June 23 the band, known for their timeless hits like Little Sister, If Only, No One Knows, Regular John, Feet Don't Fail Me, Mosquito Song, Make It Wit Chu, In My Head and Go With The Flow, will have a support act before they take to the stage. Gates for the concert will open at 5.30pm and the last entry is 8pm.

The rock band will be supported by Isle of Wight-based "indie-grunge" band Coach Party - who will be Queens of the Stone Age's warm-up act for all three of its UK dates. DJ-ing from doors open, too, is Press Play With Stacey.

The event is being run by Orchard Live and with the option to only 'get updates' on the band's website, it seems that tickets have sold out! Concertgoers will need to ensure that their tickets are downloaded on their phones or printed off before arriving at the gig.

If you need to collect your tickets the box office opens on gig day from 3.30pm and can be found at the north entrance of the castle. There will be no city centre road closures for the concert but traffic will be paused temporarily on Castle Street as people leave the gig.
