Queen's Jubilee official street parties mapped: Full list and how to get there

Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee celebrates the monarch's 70-year reign and will see hundreds of thousands of Brits take to the streets to mark it.

Street parties are set to take place up and down the UK, with 1,325 events listed near London alone on the four-day Bank Holiday from Thursday 2 to Sunday June 5.

To coincide with the Platinum Jubilee, The Big Jubilee Lunch will be taking place on the Sunday, which encourages communities to take to the streets, celebrate their connections and get to know each other better.

The first edition of the lunch was brought in a decade ago during the Diamond Jubilee.

According to the Eden Project: "It's the party that's right up your street and everyone's invited, so let's take to our streets, gardens and neighbourhoods to have fun and get to know one another."

Over 1,458 public events and 1,775 street parties or private events are set to officially go ahead (PA)

Organisers of street parties are being urged to add them to the event's official site, so more people can attend and revel in being one of the Queen's subjects.

Street parties will take place across the weekend, but the main event for street parties will be the Big Jubilee Lunch on Sunday, June 5.

According to the Jubilee website, there are 603 Big Jubilee Lunch events taking place across the UK and they have mapped each of them out.

Street parties and lunches are marked in green, yellow and purple and orange.

The official street party maps shows all the listed events taking place across England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

Down south there will be 154 Jubilee Lunches in London, 50 in Southampton, 49 in Plymouth and 20 in Cambridge, while in the midlands there will be 179 around Birmingham.

Heading to the north of England there is 34 near Liverpool and 50 around Leeds.

There will be 10 street parties between Edinburgh and Glasgow on Sunday (Platinum Jubilee)

Leading into Scotland, the map shows Glasgow and Edinburgh with 10 parties between the central belt cities and further south, Newcastle and Durham are holding 16.

There are even two off the coast in Orkney: one in Kirkwall and another in the Longhope Lifeboat Museum.

There are 12 events in Northern Ireland, including parties in Londonderry, Cookstown and Enniskillen.

To locate your nearest street party and for a more detailed view, you can head to the Platinum Jubilee's official site here, where you will find not only official lunches, but a whole host of other events to mark the occasion.

Each event will have its own places to park and how to get there, but it is recommended not to park along the street where it is taking place as it could become a safety hazard.

So far, there are 3,520 public events and 3,630 street parties or private events are set to officially go ahead, with even more informal ones happening in local communities.
